So far so good for me, as for the infotainment, that’s only a hop and catch and not a regular occurrence, holding the on/off button down for about 10 seconds to reboot it usually solves the issue.

His has the pop-out style ones - I think it’s a 5dr, but could be a 3dr. Either way, they’re a bit crap and aren’t the best moisture barrier I’ve ever seen. Aside from that, no complaints. Skoda Citigo, VW Up! or SEAT Mii, all perfectly good little cars.

I'd change the whole thing given the age and mileage; components are going to start showing their age so you'll be saving hassle by replacing the arm which includes 2 bushes and the bottom ball joint. You'll find they're just as likely referred to as Lower Control Arms or LCAs. You can get the aluminium ones (pattern parts from Autodoc) but you have to be careful which model as per this post - Passat and Arteon are ok, Golf parts are not as they're too short so make sure it isn't that. I'd also consider changing both sides as it goes, for the same reason.

Pre facelift didn`t have this option at all. Facelift has, AFAIK.

I didn't - I just got the closest part number I could then used my cheap eBay VAG scan tool to clear the fault after fitting. The fault hasn't recurred and there are no obvious symptoms of a fault.

My Superb 2.0 SE business tdi estate just passed its MoT with the following advisory: Offside front suspension wishbone rear bush debonding. Before the MoT I replaced the tyre which had heavy wear on the inside edge. Would I be better replacing the bush or the wishbone complete? People also talk about replacing the steel ones with alloy from an Audi. It this worthwhile for one side only? In which case what it the part number? The car is now pushing eleven years old with 86,000 on the clock. It is our workhorse.

135/80R17 has a bigger outside diameter than 125/70R18. Not mandatory, but a lot of people were getting issues after the update, that a reset fixed, you can try without and see how you go, as you can always reset later, but it will clear all the things you said.

Is a factory reset mandatory after the update? I suspect that all settings / primary user etc are lost and must be started from scratch.

Sounds like a wiring diagram would be useful to know where the G65 and air quality sensor connect to?

If reset doesnt help It could be the map sensor as you mentioned or wiring to it if you have no vaccum leaks. Check all vaccum hoses carefully for leaks including brake servo hose. Map sensor isnt that expensive from memory Alasdair

If it is the caliper handbrake mechanism I removed lever and soaked in penetrating oil then manually operated and wound piston back in and repeated till it moved freely. Lasted for a while but eventually happen again. I replaced caliper which was around £30-00 from parts in motion. Alasdair

I will have to test it then. Last time i was on the highway when i turn on the indicator it just stopped my line assist. My bear is Sportline 130 IV as well.

I drive a Kodiaq IV Selection and Travel Assist, when activated, does change the lane by itself for me when I use the indicator stalk. I don’t think that the trim makes any difference, Travel Assist should work the same way on all gen 2 “bears”.

My Octavia was doing something that sounds very similar, except both sides were actually functioning correctly, just kinda gritty feeling from the driver's position. While hunting around I got to the rear ends of the cables and worked a few sprays of WD in there, followed by a few drops of clean engine oil. The cable ends point upwards, which even with a rubber boot is rather inviting crud to get inside. Assume similar on the Superb Seems to have worked, at least for now, all as quiet as one would hope and the handbrake is still grand. Fingers crossed it's the same for you, OP!

Which models have the full matrix headlights with AFL which blanks out the parts of the beam in segments? I currently have a Mk 2 kodiaq which has this feature and it’s a must have. Due to circumstances I may have to switch to a Mk1. Looking at pictures of them, it’s unclear which do and don’t. TIA

You may have a sticking butterfly valve in the throttle body even though unlikely based on your posts, I had this in a 2000 Bora at ~ 60K miles due to carbon build up in the throttle body from the EGR which was causing all sorts of problems, I just removed the air filter and sprayed WD40 around the butterfly circumference (engine Off) a few times and problems disappeared.

Yes and no. It’s a euro mandated safety feature which resets to on by default every time you turn the ignition on. Lane assist tries to keep you in the lane you are in and has a hissy fit if you try to change lanes without indicating. Travel assist keeps you in the lane and steers to follow the lane you are in. Good on motorways and dual carriageways but possibly dangerous on anything else. Neither will change lanes for you.

The confusion that the Autohold operates on the Electronic Handbrake rather than as it really does on 4 four brakes via the ABS pump is not helped by the manufacture's description of the system. From the specification for my 2024 Karoq - "Electronic parking brake with auto hold function". The Autohold on my Karoq is much smoother than it was on my previous 2018 Seat Leon FR. On the Leon it was very difficult to pull away from a stop without a slight jerk. Some drivers blamed the DSG but it didn't happen if Autohold was disengaged. At night if stopped for what was obviously going to be a longer time I would apy the EHB which wod disengage the AH & extinguish the brake lights. Better for the driver behind me. Pulling away was then also smoother - 2 brakes to be release rather than 4? At the next stop AH would still be auto applied. I sometimes do the same on my Karoq at night and it responds in the same way.

Excellent work doing that job. I’ll start planning for my Elroq in 4 years time.

Does the Sportline 130 have this? Can the car use it to change lines by itself while in Travel assist mode on the motorway?

I use a spray cleaner,not a thoroughly job but i didn't had much time at the moment. I will make a check after few months.
