Unleashing the Power of OBDeleven: A Must-Have for SKODA Owners
My info, whist not disagreeing with yous has more info: Carista OBD2: Carista is fully compatible with the OBDLink MX+ hardware. It offers basic code clearing and simple, menu-driven customizations ("customizations" or adaptations). Note: Because your Superb is a late 2025 model, Carista's beta testers network is actively updating compatibility for Mk4 platform elements. [1, 2] The "Gold Standard" Alternative – OBDeleven 3: If your main goal is advanced custom coding, the OBDLink MX+ will face limitations on a 2025 Skoda due to VW's factory SFD2 firewall restrictions. The OBDeleven NextGen device is an officially licensed Volkswagen Group partner that has built-in tokens to automatically unlock SFD protections, making it the preferred tool for modifications and "One-Click Apps" on a June 2025 vehicle. It is AI generated, however it not been asked to make a decision other than show me the best options available today

Long life servicing
On my first Formentor (same engine and gearbox) there was a fixed service interval: 15.ooo km / 1 year. The facelift Formentor (same gearbox but the 1.5 TSI engine) came with a variable 30.ooo km / 2 years oil service. However, I did service the oil after 1 year and ~14.ooo km - less than half on ICE, since Monday-Friday I'm 100% EV. You should ask for the gearbox service history, since the DQ400e is well-known for it's mechatronic failure caused by an oil filter/mesh that fails and blocks one of the actuators. The 100k km "barrier" is quite often mentioned as higher risk mileage.

Skoda Connect issue
I had exactly the same problem as you when I bought my 2023 Superb 2 years ago. The dealer where I bought it (Sinclairs of Swasea) couldnt fix it and it had to be referred to Skoda Support, who came up with a solution, but it had to go back to the dealer. As we were selling our house and searching for a replacement in Lincoln at the time and we were then living in Brecon, which was nearly 50 miles away, we deferred it until we moved to Lincoln, where it was resolved by Hortons. You will probably need to take it to the dealer. Mine was done under the manufacturer's 3 year warranty, so I assume you'll be able to get them to fix it under the warranty you had with your car? One thing they couldn't fix is when I use a pin location on the map, it shows the address, then England, Deutschland. Also, traffication shows the traffic laws for Germany in this country. The dealer says a software update should fix this when Skoda issue one, but I'm sure I'll have to live with this until I sell the car. I'm not that bothered about it, but a relatively new car should have everything working correctly. When we went abroad in April and May, pin locations and traffic laws came up correctly in other countries as far afield as Lithuania with the traffication notifications working correctly.

New software available version 1989
As far as I'm aware, the Skoda connect data is connected to you, and not the vehicle. If you weren't to reset your infotainment before you sold it, and the buyer didn't either when they bought it, then they'd probably benefit from it.

@Day40 How did the injector replacement go?

If you subscribe to the traffication app, you receive alerts to both fixed and mobile speed cameras. Well I do in the UK anyway

I'm On my second mk3 in last 6 years. Not found any problems other than the odd battery and sensor issues. Buying a used motor , same things need to be checked. ie, make sure it's been regularly serviced etc. I've been very happy with my 1.5 tsi SE L dsg estates. Good luck.

Long life servicing
Is that a 1.5 tsi phev? They are on variable oil servicing. Vorsprung Dutch Technik. But if you run one mostly on electric would you leave the same oil in from the factory for 2 years?
-
Route Data
Thanks Lee, I was thinking more for future reference regarding the route data. It proved very useful on a previous KIA when I received a parking summons when I wasn't even in the car park. I'm aware something can be retrieved from Google Maps, but this only says where your phone has been not your vehicle

Long life servicing
Volkswagen Golf 8 models come set to a flexible (Long Life) service regime by default straight from the factory, I would thought that Octavia / A3 / Leon would be the same?

Škoda Peaq - Pre-Orders
Location location location. Long queuing is not necessary if you are visiting charging hubs with plenty ultra rapid chargers and these are not very busy sites. Towing is an issue as far as charging unless it is the type of charging hubs designed to allow vehicles to charge while still hitched up to what ever and not requiring unhitching and re-hitching. I expect the range with a horse box and horse at the Max Gross weight allowed will be greatly reduced. Could it even be half the range.

Broken spark plug - ruined engine? 1.4TSI CZCA
never drive engine with any noise. stop at moment. try to find missing part. easiest thru spark plug hole. if valves are not damaged, it will go. if cilinder wall is damaged, its old school cast iron cilinder wall liners which can be machined. no new engine needed.
