If you disconnected battery the steering and esc will come on until you turn full left and full right plus a short drive. Looks like you may have to remove bearing and clean or replace. Alasdair

Just an update, I've checked the alternator pulley and other pullies around that area, all seem tight, belt looks tight, OK from what I can see. As they're not easy to inspect, due to their location. Unless you were to go from underneath. So Ill keep an eye on it, if it becomes worse, be easier to diagnose. If I do get to the bottom of it, I'll post on here, again.

There’s an update to take the system from 16xx to 18xx via 17xx (2 updates in one) Then a separate update to take it to 1985 It’s likely your car has a boatload of software updates outstanding which should all be completed at the same time to ensure a compatible baseline. No, Firmware 17Xx-->18xx-->19xx-->Last Firmware Also you have To Check the OCU Firmware

I know it is the hight of summer with heat wave 100...., but I would like to check if anyone has used snow chains on a Kamiq. My daughter's Kamiq SEL runs on 18" alloys. She has got all-season tyres fitted to the 18" wheels and might need to fit snow chains. The Skoda manual recommends snow chains only on the 16" option. I have seen on the www that you could use thinner 9mm chains rather than 12mm for low clearance on 18" wheels. Is there anyone who has done this successfully?

So... ...that went well...🙄 Replaced the ABS sensor this morning, and now I've got FOUR warning lights! ABS, ESC, steering and TPMS... OBDeleven is still saying right hand front ABS sensor. When I took the old one out, I could see a few fine scratches on the tip, and peering down the hole it came out of, I could see quite a lot of flaky rust, so I scraped that off with a small screwdriver, whilst slowly turning the hub. I also noticed what seemed like a number of small, black plastic "flaps" on the vertical face just outboard of it. No idea what that face is?

Daughter had hers for 5 years prior to having grand daughter. Only issues were sticking rear brakes and rust just starting around the fuel filler. Hers was the 75 bhp version which was surprisingly nippy and great on the motorway.

Not sure but off the top of my head I'd say that's too big of a jump, I couldn't be sure though. Just be aware that if you try it and it doesn't work out you could brick your system. I've heard of people going from 18xx to 1985, I did so myself, but only based on sound advice. There are a few experty types browse these forums, hopefully one will see your post and be able to advise you better than what I can The other thing to be aware of is that updating your infotainment system won't necessarily get rid of any bugs you may be experiencing, these cars have a lot of modules and each of them need updating from time to time. Could be worth getting in touch with @East_Yorkshire_Retrofits who offers a comprehensive software update package, depending on where you're based

Can I update from 1668 to 1985?

5407-5410.jpg When I first considered this gutter area edged with the boot lid seal it was packed with bone dry clutter from the sky. I wondered where water was supposed to be accommodated. With this in mind I intend to keep it scrupulously clear of debris in the future. The rear light clusters have been removed and inspected and reinstalled. There was no evidence of water damage.

From your description, I'd suggest very likely something wrong with the replacement fuel pump.

Hi, Had my Samsung Galaxy s23 setup with android auto on my 2016 Superb, until recently it won't connect and I get a USB error message. The phone has had a couple of updates, so not sure if the is the cause. Hi All Driving over Cairn'o'mount last week the mounting point on my rear left steering knuckle \ hub carrier snapped leaving the trailing arm trailing on the road - literally! Trying to source a new one. 2011 Superb Estate 170 4x4. Apart from £300 for a new one I'm struggling to find cheaper options. Yes, it works fine. The manual isn't totally clear. What I've found is that you need to activate it once by pushing the stalk away from you (as if you were selecting high beam on a car without the assist feature). The 'A' symbol then comes up: white when it's on dipped and blue when it's switched to full beam. It you want to override it when it's selected dipped, you can push the stalk away from you a second time, and it will then stay on full indefinitely. You can also pull it towards you for a quick flash of full, as usual. I haven't tried this, but I presume you can override auto full beam by pulling the stalk, as that's what the manual implies.
