  2. The individual tyre pressure readout s were n option when I bought mine late 2024. I did get the option fitted on mine.
  3. How much effort was the initial fitting? If love a usb socket in the arm rest cubby as I use wireless android auto and could do with keeping phone cool. Also it means I can close the little cover over the usb/12 V socket and make things look tidy. As an aside the power tailgate seems to have stopped working today. Goes up about 1/3rd of the way and stops and beeps. Won't go up or down. Just beeps 3 times. Can move it down a bit and the the button will close it. OBD11 gives an error message: Hall sensor in motor 1 for rear hatch - B121115 I've got a warranty from the dealership so hopefully they can sort - feels wrong though. I've always fixed all my own previous car problems
  4. Definitely can swap around the ballasts to see if it's the issue or not. The ballast is accessible from the top, via the engine bay. It sits on the back of the headlight. Silver looking metal square thingy. If the problem moves to the other side, then u know the ballast is the issue and it can b replaced.
  5. I’ve a 2022 VRs I’ve got a metatrack s5 plus and a scorpion x can immobiliser ( gear box lock ). Works perfectly But then I did fit it 🤣 With car theft can’t be too careful these days

  10. Hope you find a successful and cost effective solution.
  11. Had a similar experience of late turned out to be a leaking valve...
  12. I think I have a similar problem. Since buying my car a few years ago there's been an immediate high-pitched screech on starting (thankfully muffled) from the rear seat behind me, which settles down to a disgruntled mumbling. It didn't seem to cause any problems, so I haven't pursued it, but now I suspect it's causing fuel starvation when under sustained heavy load. It can manage about 2.5 gal/hr but not 3. (40mph @ 13mpg -- starts to die after about a minute). Seeing as it drives well otherwise, and hasn't got worse, do you think it is likely to be the pump or the control unit? @Vanthrax01 Is your spare fuel pump still available? I will be driving to Bedford in a week or so.

  14. Hi! THis is the first I've heard of this app. Could you point me in the right direction to find out more, please? Thanks, Ken
  15. I’d say the Octavia is more lively for track/b-road. The Superb is a big family motorway cruiser; more room, more sedate. I think the 280 power suits it really well for that. Plenty of options for replacing/upgrading parts etc
  16. I probably meant using Google etc to answer the question "what is normal high side pressure in a car AC system?" - or similar, the cruel thing is, someone probably on briskoda.net has quoted expected high side and low side running pressures - but I've forgotten where I read that. You need to know which fridge gas is used in your, ie R-134A or the later fridge gas R-1234yf , a label under the bonnet will tell you which gas is used. Edit:- for example what is the high side and low side running pressures for a car ac system - Google Search
  17. I’ve installed that one too, along with the VWR600 intake, oil filter housing, and DSG filter housing. Apart from that, a few carbon fiber parts as well.

  20. So, The Octavia 3 only received the Blind Spot Assist with the facelift. That means it uses the 5Q generation control unit. Of course, I'm not installing anything like that. Therefore, I'm using the OEM 5Q0 radar mounts with the 3D-printed adapters, just like @Lutz91 did in his Superb. The OEM LED is integrated into the mirror glass, but I'm definitely not going back to that solution. Through a bit of luck and some internet research, I discovered that another Volkswagen Group vehicle also uses the same Octavia 3 mirror caps. This vehicle has the Blind Spot Assist from the factory with a version integrated into the mirror caps. Thanks to @Lutz91 for finding the details. So, I ordered a set of primed left and right mirror caps from the aftermarket, just to test them. VW charges €75 each, but I paid €35 for both aftermarket caps in Spain, plus a few euros for shipping home. Thanks to @Lutz91 for the detailed research. The following parts are required: Control units: 2Q0907686B 2Q0907685B Sedan mounting bracket: 5E5907455A 5E5907456A LED headlight washer mirror caps: 565949145 565949146 Exterior mirror caps To be added if the correct parts are available Wiring harness: From my supplier in the Far East... 3D printer adapters for left and right

  27. Yes..bad news, I removed and the driver unit its inside , I have only 2 opt : to open it and check for driver module, or to buy anothe headlight , but after about 3h searching on ebay, found only one wich I think is fitted, wai for seller to reply.
  28. Touch wood not really got softeware issues , did on my previous one but they are across the VAG group and in my experience not helped by many technicians seeming not to understand their systems.
  29. Any work done recently on gearbox or clutch?
  30. I would try 205/60R16 6Jx16 ET35 (non-standard offset for this tyre size and not guaranteed to fit with snow chains) on the Kamiq with snow chains from the Octavia MK4. These Octavia MK4 snow chains fit 205/60R16 6.5Jx16 ET48 wheels on the Octavia MK4...but clearance is not guaranteed on the Kamiq...although there only needs to be a few extra millimetres of clearance compared to the guaranteed 195/60R16 6Jx16 ET35 option on the Kamiq for rubbing not to occur. The 18" wheels would be sold, perhaps individually because owners are often damaging them due to their vulnerability...and single wheels are easier to post than a set of four. 31. Think its electric hydraulic steering. Check the level and condition of steering fluid. If the lights are dimming it may be a fault in the electric pump or perhaps corrosion in connectors or an airlock. From memory to bleed top up with correct fluid and leave cap off and turn full left/full right till bubbles stop. Alasdair
  32. @Mark10061 That can be as much as 20,000 miles / 24 months. But have it serviced anytime you want sooner & then reset to Fixed and 9,400 miles / 372 days or sooner. All depends on how you use the car, and how you have things checked / inspected to suit your use.
  33. This is for Mk1 but not much activity there so posting here also, thanks Hi All, AUQ 130k miles Has been losing coolant and white smoke out of exhaust for a while Replaced some coolant pipework and thermostat which stopped it for the most part where it appeared to be leaking Notice a slight shimmering film on top of coolant reservoir before driving Drove for several hours and coolant red light on dash came on with alarm As close to home (and temperature not going up) drove a mile or two to house and parked up Left overnight and checked coolant this morning and its changed colour to a murky brown (from darkish pink) The level of coolant it above minimum so not sure why the alarm went off as level and temperature seemed fine. One thing I noticed when opening expansion tank was a pop and hiss (escape of gas?) which hasnt happend before especially after leaving over 12 hours. Is this likely to be a head gasket gone or an oil cooler letting oil into the coolant or something else? no white may on dipstick or under oil filler cap (does use a bit of oil though as need to keep topping up) Any advise appreciated, Thanks

  35. Part number for leather one is 1U0711141P2L3 if its any help Alasdair
  36. I have sorted the others out , it’s a lose piece of material or screw you can hear it sliding about . Just cannot work out how to dismantle it to gain access . Booked into the dealers , see what they do. The rest were sorted with a bit las of felt and silicone lub.
