  2. B4 is meant to give you OE comfort plus a little better B6 is more harder and would require insurance to be informed I suspect If it was me I’d go B4 as I prefer comfort to bang crash hardness
  3. Hello, 7z and also Unrar give me some errors during extraction, is it a corrupted files?
  4. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202405069428886?sort=price-asc&advertising-location=at_cars&fuel-type=Electric&make=&fromsra 2013 Leaf 24 kWh, 180k miles on the clock, 11 years old. Averaged 45 miles every single of those 365 days 11 years. Although "EXHAUST AND MECHANICS ALL IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. No Funny Noises. Smooth Gear Change." not sure the seller has tailored their sales patter for the EV market. It will still work well for many people, my family included, as second car local runabouts. Oh yes, that's why we got one 😁
  5. Update: It seems that for this retrofit you need the following: 1. Electric struts - 2 x 5E7827851 2. Strut mounts - 4x 657827850 3. Button on the inside of the tailgate cover ( couldn't find the part number ) 4. Button located on front door cover - 565959831 5. Rear bumper sensor - 1x 5E3962239 6. Soft close hatch on the tailgate side ( possible the hatch on the boot itself might be different ) - ( couldn't find the part number ) 7. Cabling 8. Dataset + calibrating + SFD unlock for module coding Extras ( possible ) : 1. New Keyless gateway ( the old one might work , not sure ) 2. Module located in the boot ( the old one might work , not sure ) It's an expensive retrofit which might not be justified. As far as I understood, the MQB Evo platform is very expensive to retrofit. If anyone tries this, do let us know. Cheers!
  6. Hello, I am about to pull the trigger on a new Fabia Monte Carlo 1.0 (110 HP) TSI DSG and there are two models available at the dealership, one with sunroof and one without. I love the sunroof feature, but I was shocked to find that it doesn't come with a built-in cover... I've also read reports of sunroof increasing rattle and noise at speed. Was hoping to get some first-hand experience from the owners of Monte Carlo with the sunroof.
  7. Almost doubled HP, it must be a significant change! 😁
  8. I've attached a photo of the area where it seems to have sprayed/splattered a bit in case that helps anyone identify the likely cause? Thanks!
  9. Hello everyone, I just bought my new Xiaomi 14 Ultra, and i cannot connect it for Android Auto with my Cable. It brings up an Error, The Connections with Xiaomi 14 Ultra Failed. Anyone else having the same issue?
  10. I've never heard of a Lambourgspaghetti being nicked (well except in "Gone in 60 Seconds" and that gang only wanted sports and luxury cars)/
  11. Yes, the oil pump is driven by a toothed belt . There have been a few cases of failed belts ( missing teeth or ruptured completely ) which led to low/no oil pressure ( that's very bad ), but only after 180-200k km. It is advised to change the oil pump belt along with the camshaft cover and bearing when changing the timing kit ( as you need to remove the timing kit to access the camshaft cover and oil pump belt ).
  12. Thanks for the detailed answer. my rear brakes are completely down after 50K kilometers. Disks and pads. And front brakes i can ride another 30K. Think it’s because of my setup: Additional 60-70 kg in trunk due to 5kW Soundsystem. 2 Subwoofers, 2 amplifiers, additional Battery, lot of Bitumen. It’s like always having a passenger ob the Back row. You can see it on The wheel housing, it’s 1.5 cm lower than front. So all in all my car is about 100kg heavier than usual. My Scala has about 240bhp. Stage 2. So my question was if the holes on the rear axle will fit for the bigger caliper housing. The part numbers don’t match with the Polo‘s. I would need index CN but have BQ CE CG.
  13. Can you confirm the lane guidance works when ACC is activated at speed below 65 km/h? When I activate ACC below that speed, lane guidance is inactive. I need to accelerate to 65 to activate it. Then it works at speeds below 65 km/h as long as ACC is active. I believe it's the difference between pre-FL and FL models. In my case with original coding (hc_variante = 2), when I pass the 65 km/h speed, only standard lane guidance is available. I need the ACC activated to enable the adaptive line guidance. Mine is MY23. Currently I have the hc_variante=1 coded which basically disables the Travel Assist functionality. That also makes the button on the steering wheel useless (the one marked with red color). To be honest, I'm not sure if I feel any particular difference in functionality between these two codings (except the button functionality), so it's more like my OCD that does not want to give up.
  14. Also never fully exercising the car by very restrictive revs and speeds, which is probably best on many very shiny but mechanically poor (not the case with thefeliciahacker) "classic" cars we have very occasionally on the UK roads for the reasons I gave before and (unmodified) cars over 40 years old do not require an annual MoT. Just one example, period (27 years old) tyres, plenty of tread. Posted with the permission of the car owner R G Everitt (as education to other "classic" car owners).
  15. Today
  16. THANKS djmartzian Is it right the file MOI3_EU_SK_R9690L_MU11969 for Skoda Octavai 1.5 G tec year 07/2021? I'm downloading Thnaks
  17. Good to hear the car is in excellent condition, in the UK a Dealer service record can be little more than annual engine oil and filter changes. Stage one tuning used to be go-faster stripes on the side of the car and fancy wheel caps, on the figures I quoted before yours was for a 50% increase which sounds a lot to me so some serious stuff of amendments. If they overwrite(?) one set of programs with another surely they save the original set to reload if required. Was there a precheck of the vehicle to see if everything was OK before to do the tuning and a contract you and them signed for the work that you can return to. Good luck, let the site know how you get on.
  18. Got my car back yesterday. All three recalls were completed. Recall 1 - Saftey recall for heat mat Recall 2 - Software update to Version 1969 to fix a software restart bug Recall 3 - Engine cover.
  19. Always good to double check motive behind sources. But I honestly don't see any bias from someone whose job is to analyse and combat mis-information: Why is the act of identifying and pointing out clear wrong facts and mis-information considered biased? When have publishing wrong facts and deliberately write mis-information come to be considered a valid side of argument?
  20. Only if you have private parking lot, otherwise left in the street for many months problems will show up soon or later. First of all battery, then dust, tyres, plastics, discolouration etc. I believe the car must travel at least 30' each time so the battery will charged a bit, the oil-coolant will get heat, the engine will get warm, the radiator fan will work, the tyres will expand etc.
  21. I don't think they are the same. The original problem was a lack of torque when pulling away and kangarooing. The current issue is cutting out when slowing to a stop I believe. As again it's only affecting manuals it surely can be rectified in software. If it was an inherent engine design issue it would affect DSG's
  22. Switched from 2016 Superb 1.4 TSI 150 to 2023 Superb 2.0 TSI 280 Including photos of my previous Skoda cars
  23. Not sure the author of that article is any less biased than the Mail Online, but just waaaaay over on a different side of the argument. https://www.lse.ac.uk/granthaminstitute/profile/pallavi-sethi/
